Z-Shot STUDIO

Privacy Policy

Last updated October 31, 2026

This policy explains what information Z-Shot ("we", "us") collects when you use the Z-Shot browser extension, website and customer portal, and how we use it.

The short version

  • Your screenshots and recordings stay on your device. They are stored in your browser. Z-Shot does not host or store your images or videos.
  • We collect the minimum account and billing data needed to provide licenses and support.
  • We do not sell your personal data.

Information we collect

Account information. When you create an account we store your name, email address and a securely hashed password.

License and device information. When you activate a license we store the license key, an anonymous device identifier and the browser name, so we can enforce the device limit of your plan. You can unbind devices at any time from the portal.

Billing information. Payments are processed by our reseller Paddle.com (see below). We receive the order details, country and the last digits of the payment method — never your full card number.

Shared captures. We never store your images or videos. When you share, the file goes straight from your browser to a place you choose: your own S3-compatible bucket (we only keep its encrypted connection settings so we can sign short-lived upload links), Imgur, or your own webhook.

Support messages. When you contact us we keep the message and your email address to answer you.

Website analytics. We may use privacy-friendly analytics to understand which pages are visited. These do not track you across other websites.

How we use information

  • To provide and secure the service (accounts, licenses, device limits, fraud prevention).
  • To process payments, refunds and invoices.
  • To send service emails such as license keys, password resets and renewal reminders.
  • To answer support requests.

Payment processing

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders and processes your payment data under its own privacy policy, available at paddle.com/legal/privacy.

Data retention

We keep account data while your account is active. When you delete your account we remove your personal data, except records we must keep for tax and accounting purposes.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Email support@ztooly.com and we will respond within 30 days.

Security

We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, optional two-factor authentication for staff, and encryption at rest for stored credentials.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be announced on the website or by email.
